Does the <br /> really doesnt have a ending tag??

I tried it in try by yourself and it did work....am a beginner btw

HTML is loosely typed language. So the browser worked on it. <br> tag is empty tag and it does not have an ending </br> tag. <br/> means that you opened and closed it at the same moment and since <br> is empty tag, it doesn't need an ending tag.

Browsers are very tolerant with all kinds of mistakes so the fact that it worked says nothing. The br tag does not have an ending tag :) https://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_br.asp
