I think, one in a million programmer will be born if not already( maybe even one of solo learners) will be able to do it.

This isn't a subjective matter, and what we think about this ourselves won't change the facts. According to current science, creating an "true" AI that is self aware like humans are, is mathematicly impossible. With an simple search on the net you can find white papers on the subject. There you have it.. facts. This is not to say that it isn't posible to simulate a human very closely. But "true" AI.. is definatly not posible. Ofcourse you can then change the definition of what "true" AI is suppose to mean. But "true" AI means the AI will simulate "every" aspect of the human being. Think about it this way.. we have not even come close to understanding the brain and every aspect of the human ourselves. How then could we program that machine that should simulate our every aspect. Its pure fantasy. And ofcourse there are those that say then.. machine learning! Sure, but a machine can't see the inner workings of a human without all the information put into perspective.

yes. humans either upgrade or become extinct. But we'll probably die out as a species before we get that far given our track record of self destruction. edit: says the guy cooking dinner on a lng cooktop with the coalfired powered aircon blasting...

I definitely think AI is possible but it would still takes years for us to make an AI that's as advanced and complex as the human mind. I'm currently creating my own mini AI for my pokemon game to cleverly beat players in CPU mode. So I can tell you now, it's not as easy as you think, but fun. :)

yes it is possible. computers are just like us they learn from mistakes.there are robots which walk and bump into random objects and plot these in their internal maps to not repeat them just like newborn baby.and just like a newborn babys IQ increases everyday.it is also going to increase in the robots.

It is possible, machine learning is advancing, AI is becoming smarter... at the end we wil extinct and machines will continue to live, then, they will develop new humans :D

A.I is a dangerous yet fascinating thing. It would probably be too much to control and it would become self aware or something. LOL

Even though they might be mechanically better than us, programming creativity is not feasible yet. There's the idea that augmented humans might be the best of both worlds because of that.

Itt is possible, some time in the future. But i think an A.I could never achieve 100% of human like. Because of the uniqueness of human brain. Try to imagine a flying whale with ballet shoe and a cap. Could A.I do that? i dont think so

possible with light base PC or carben nano technology and to build fast enough software logic conditioning to build it if not will end up with a data from Star trek
