Is it important to learn all different programming languages?

I have listen that all the programming languages are same but syntax are different then this means it is not necessary to learn all the programming languages. This raised my another question that all the programming languages have same ability. If yes then why we need different languages?

That's right that the syntax of the languages is pretty similar but most of the programming languages has a unique purpose for example Java - Android development. I'm not really familiar with the other languages and their purposes but Python is also I think the best language for AI. So, I don't agree you should only learn one language and ignore the rest but I also don't agree with the way of learn lots of languages but not focus on them for a while and get to know them because then you know all the languages but you won't know when to use each other and not completely how. So I suggest you to learn a language really well and move to another and so on.

Well different coding languages isnt just different by syntax it can be different by its use for example html is used for web design and can go into css and javascript while other languages program things such as games and more for example python javascript and C++ if that is correct so that explains that there are many purposes for different language but i do agree the syntax can be wierd...
