Is PHP hard to learn?

Is PHP hard to learn? I'm learning now html and css and how to start studing PHP? What is your recommendation?

Learning the language syntax is relatively simple; what is tricky about PHP (and any other programming language) is that knowing the syntax itself doesn't guarantee good programming. That comes from practice...

Good thing about PHP is the quality of documentation and ease of the syntax. On the other hand, you need to be at least bit IT savvy to be able to run PHP in your development environment and access it via browser (not that you need to - PHP also works without web server - it even has its own limited web server)
