c# is a programing lenguage that uses the .net framework as the source in which to look for the Libraries Microsoft spent a lot of time and money to have people writing names paces and clases that might be useful to you, so you will be more productive and you will think in less solutions to the problems of your project by avoiding writing more code. As an instance, the Pow() method, somebody, somewhere implemented that method for you to call it and pass a number to get back the power of the passed number without you thinking for a solution to calculate the power of a number. Weird but truth!
