Is ruby worth today?

I am learning ruby but is it use today or I wasting my time?

if you mastery basic programing concept , not difficult too to attempt other language. but i recommend try new language paradigm , such functional , declarative etc . to enlarge you insight in language. Haskell or Erlang as example.
