Learning C++ without C?

I'm a beginner to c and c++. But i studied basics of Java, MySQL, HTML in my 11th and 12th class (as my optional subject INFORMATICS PRACTICES) can i start learning C++ without C?

yes, c and c++ are two different languages. you dont need to know c to learn c++
