What should I learn html or html5?

Question

I started learning html very recently and easily understood it but now I came across html5 and when I read about it on the internet many websites say that it is better than html5. So my question is that should I continue with html or start learning html5? I have seen that HTML5 is the upgraded version of html with some advancements but also some drawbacks. I am really confused what should I do.
Edit: everyone is telling me to learn html5 so one last question that I have is that is it even worth learning html now?

HTML5 is the new standard of web development. If you are going to pursue a career in web development you should learn HTML5
