How do I get a URL for my own website

I know how to edit a website and make special features and stuff but I don’t know how to even get the website...I need a website to actually edit, if someone could help me that would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Hayden to have URL of your website first you need to buy an domain name and register it, for that you can go on any cloud platform like aws or www.godaddy.com and after that you can search through the www.domainname and copy the link of that domain from the godaddy website

Sonic, if you are trying to be host something first time then I would say first host an small project which is not need much security and services, for that free hosting is best and it will be remain on internet for some predefined time duration defined according to the hosting site, but If you want it for professional use then buying an domain with aws or godaddy will be more efficient as they provide good service and good update facilities.
