What do the leaderboards truly represent?

Sololearn has millions of users but when I looks at the leader boards it does not reflect 10s of millions of users. I suspect that the leaderboards are some how a snapshot of a particular grouping. Does anyone have any insight to this?

The SL leaderboards represent the top people within a specific country, globally, or out of who you're following, based on the time frame selected. Although it only seems like a small amount of users, scrolling down through the global/regional leaderboard of all time won't stop (if I remember correctly) given it's able to rank every single person on SL and place them there. Although, if you're referring to the top today, top this week, or top this month, I would assume that they would filter out everyone with 0 XP gain in that category to make it a little cleaner

It represents the people who spend more time on sololearn daily, monthly, totally....in country, globally and in your followers. They are actually sorted by xp which is proportional to time. The leaders in it doesnt depict wheather they are too good at coding but confirm that they are aware with basics. Some talented coders use sololearn intelligently by just playing limited challenges and playing contests and asking doubts unlike others play 1000s of challenges which contain repeated questions or low level stuff and fight for gaining xp and popularity in sololearn. The main point I want to highlight here is xp is useless, more xp doesnot depict that you are a better coder than others but may prove that you are aware with basics

It represents the people who have no better thing to do in life other than get XP 😂😂 Well there are 10s of millions of user but not every user makes codes, sends challenges or completes lessons.

I think their concern is about your position..its more like the TOP 10s in a class..The teacher announces the Top and only if you ask as an individual of whereabout are you. Then SL leaderboards will only show the Top then locate your position with reference to them..#myopinion

This almost helps let's assume 10,000,000 users and Al. Are spread out over the leaderboards from lowest to highest xp ranking, since lol 17 is 100,000 to 500,000 I would think that would have at least 5 percent of the population, not 40 people, something is not right. Please help me understand this better.

Why I see my name in leaderboard twice? In levelup zone and leveldown zone at same time.
