I have a question to Ask the community

Do you consider HTML a programming language or not. In my own personal I consider it to be because if you look at it HTML is very vital in programming websites and some languages depend on HTML to run well and efficient?

The reason html isn’t a programming language, but a markup language, is because it performs no activity or functions. It merely specifies a page content and layout.

Haha It really shouldn't matter I was just highly confused on why programmers shun HTML as to not considering it to be a programming language because it's one of the important thing web developers depend on to make their layout of their website that they are developing. Thank you you two for giving me a better understanding on why it isn't a programming language. I really appreciate it ^_^
