I don't believe either one is "better" than the other. They have different purposes and they can both be used in computer science careers. If you are new to programming and want to learn one of them, Python might be better because it has many built in functions and a simple syntax. However, SoloLearn has a great tutorial for Java as well, so they are both good options.
