What i should do?

Hi everyone, I apologise for my bad English. I wanted to ask what I have to do? I'm 18 yrs old and almost my whole life I didn't know what interesting for me. Recently I've entered at the University and half year later I decided that it's not I would like to connect my life with. It takes a lot of free time and I feel that it will not be useful for me in the future. And I cought myself with thought that I want to delve into something kinda ethical hacking/cybersecuitity or something like that. In other words, I enjoy doing something about preparation, investigate these stuffs and solve the problems. To be honest, I'm still not good at these terms and I understand that it's big area and there's many ways there. However, despite the fact that it's interesting for me, I'm scared. I know that you need to learn really huge numbers of different materials and it's gonna take about 6 years. What to do with university, how I'll find the money for living and etc. What to do if I won't reach the high level? Help...

Journey of Thousand Miles start with Single Step. :> You should be glad that you realized it half a year into university, instead of sitting it over the span of 4 years or so. You are 18! It is NOT too late. You can talk to a university consultant, ask them for information about enrolling for a Computer Science degree course, then dive into programming. If you like planning and solving problems, this is your jam. SoloLearn will be able to kickstart you from there onwards. While you are at it, look it the vast job opportunities that this field of study provides you. You will be amazed - Even if you fail to become an ethical hacker, you can still take part in many professional tasks. Your interest may even shift over time as you find new specializations which you deem better. Artificial Intelligence, multimedia, software engineering, networking, etc. What you have to do now, is to get your S in your gear, and start moving! :D

Hi Illia Kaptelyi , I'm also 18 and I never dived into what I really love until I got to this age. You seems scared and afraid of future, i do sometimes too. But I think people at the high level followed their dreams also to get to where they are so, as for me, I won't advise you to quit University but you can create time for yourself to follow your passion in the area that you want. I believe slowly and steadily, we'll pull through.
