An Inquiry about Animation

Question

I want to learn animation, but I have no idea where to start. My questions are as follows:

1. What programming language does an animator use?(or is it a programming language in the first place?)
2. Does solo learn have an animation course/ a course for that programming language? (if not please provide me with a website that teaches it for free)
3. What kind of animation should I learn?
4. What software should I use?
5. Do I need artistic skills of any sort?
6. How much time should I dedicate to learning this in order to be able to animate on my own?

1. CSS... Its not a programming language ...it is styling sheets.
2.Yes you do have basics of animations on sololearn.
3. Depends totally on your interest.
4. If you not talking about coding , then adobe after effects.
5. Not really. But you need to have good observation and good sense of colors.
6. Depends on what you are using as a medium to create your animations.
