It depends for the reason you want to learn and the project you will run, if for example you interest for data analysis Python is great (it is also a general purpose language), C++ is also very good but more difficult for beginners, if you want web development, then you must learn HTML, but remember nothing is simple, for example for web development except HTML, you must also learn CSS and Javascript! Or for data analysis you will need Python and algorithms! For social media (because most of them are apps) Kotlin for Android, and Swift for IOS, are best, but you will also need analytics tools training with advertising knowledge!! In any case and whatever you decide to start, have a good beginning and a go as far as best you can!!!!!!!

For software I think C++, Java, C#, and/or Python could be helpful. However, these can often be difficult to someone just getting used to coding. Even though you want to go into software development, HTML wouldn't be bad to get acclimated to the basic concepts of programming.

I suggest python or C++ but it depends on your field and what you want to do. Personally I started with C++ now I'm a C# programmer.

Start with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python, then learn the other programming languages such as Ruby, Swift, C#, Java, C, C++, SQL or PHP.

You should start with a programming language that is more suited to you. to staying motivated later, you should be able to see the result of your works. so I agree with Seth Michael, It depends on your field.
