Want to know what to do with advanced JAVA ??

Hello, friends recently I got my college project ,I'm developing a GUI application with JAVA Swing, I'm confused with in Java Swing , is it "JFrame" or application , & Applet are different !!

Applet are (were) for running in browser, and has been deprecated by almost all browsers.
I would go for Application which could get solve some problem, just sit back and think back for all the problems which you have faced in a week or so, and could you make an App which could solve any of it or help in that regard.
