What language(s) would be the best to use in making a basic forums?

I know there are ways to insert pre-made forums from online clients, but for the sake of personalization and practice I’d really like to code my own. So far I’ve learned JavaScript and PHP (though only the basics of each), and the latter is seeming more fit for this, but I was wanting some better informed opinions on which language I should use or if I should learn another language for this. Thanks in advance!

For making a forum PHP will defenatly works!
Use PHP and in combination with Sql databases to create a user system and an archive for the posts!
I think you can find some tutorial if you search on google!
