Programing challenges on paper

Do interviewers these days test developers with challenges that should be solved on paper or does everybody allow us to solve challanges on a computer? I'm asking this because sometimes I forget the name of a function or maybe the order of arguments and when having a computer is easy to overcome, but not really possible on paper.

Yes in some cases, because when I was interviewed, the interviewer asked me to write a specific program code in paper and when I started to write the code my hands were shaky and my mind confused a lot, so I started to write the code only when I'm 100%sure abt it because I don't want my code to be messy. As u said typing code in computer is much easier than writing code in paper.. anyway a developer should be ready to code either in computer or in paper..
