Favorite online resources? MOOCs? What has learning to code looked like for you?

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone out there is using MOOCs/other online courses and which ones you found to be the most helpful. I currently use some free Udemy courses for learning Excel and I am looking into obtaining a cert from Udacity. It is easy to get overwhelmed/ paralysis by analysis just by the sheer number of resources out there. I'm trying to write down and bookmark some that I think will be useful and go through the pros and cons. What are pearls have you found that made all the difference for you? What have your experiences been like learning to code? What factor has SoloLearn played in your journey?

I think the key to choosing given that there are so many resources, is finding a course or site that does things that make sense to you. For example, I started learning python with Sololearn, but I have also used a paid udemy course that cost £8 and that explains things in an intuitive way and reinforces the concepts learnt on Sololearn. I also, have been doing the exercises from a book called Learn Python the Hard Way which helps develop typing skills, debugging and practical use of python code. These resources seem to be doing alright for me so I have no need to look at all the others, which could end up being overwhelming

Rob Bailiff True! I have just decided to go ahead and work with the resources that I have. I have looked more into learning with others online as well. It seems like FreeCodeCamp's community and the newsletters that I get from Quincy Larson give me a boost. I am having fun with the very minute amount of code that I can do so far. I have heard about that "Learn Python the Hard Way" and it seems to be well-recommended online. Maybe I should look into investing into it.
