Some tags and attributes were deprecated in HTML5 and introduced new ones which are better and gives much more functionality. You can still use those tags but not recommended.

Below you see elements in grey, red and pink. Elements in grey are in previous versions of HTML, but are not supported in HTML5. Elements in red are new to HTML5 and have broad browser support. Elements in pink are new to HTML5, but don't yet have broad browser support. https://www.html-5-tutorial.com/all-html-tags.htm

HTML5 Does not support all the types of tags in HTML. Most of them are made obsolete. These deprecated HTML tags' functions are best handled by CSS as the case may be. These is because their attributes are no longer allowed and this has affected the impacted tags(elements).
