Someone ever threw this question on Quora. As I know it has NOT earn money yet, but with the population growth, sell ads or push Premium Features may be the way.

May be they are earning money or may be not but they are doing a great job for all the beginners and sometimes professionals also. So it is a good thing.

as you know you have signed in using google or facebook, they track what you do and then show you optimise ads in their services ( facebook, youtube, google, and other apps which uses google services)
