If you have created a new document and want to see syntax highlighting, select 'language' from the menu. They are sorted by alphabet.

Other than that, not much too it. Do you have a specific thing you can't do?

It’s one of the tools I use for daily business. There some features I really like (e.g. search replace in multiple files) and some I don’t like (e.g, comparing files), but all in all it’s great.

If you have already downloaded notepad++ than simply open it => write code / program in language you want and finally save it (Give it a name and extension for ex. .html) in particular directory.
