Is sos a technical terminology is back office systems?

I have notice that most companies have at least one system name something-sos.

I once worked customer care for a phone company they had a system called CPsos.

Now in my current job I have HOTsos.

Has anyone noticed anything similar?

I'm not sure if CPsos and HOTsos are related, unless you have some reason to think they are. You can name anything sos (i.e. Service Optimization Software, Systems of Systems, etc.).

You are right about the relation, I only mention them based on the fact they are respectively private systems use by specific companies.
