Hello I am switching to Ubuntu 18 from Windows 10. Please anyone tell me that is it possible installing Linux on Laptop and keeping all your Local Drives files safe and kept in Linux again without any loss of data?

oh thanks you so much for thia info. but what do you mean by clearing the partition? Do you mean only the (C Drive which is my Windows Drive). I also have other 3 local drives and I would have no problem if I format my whole C but the imp data is stored in orher 3 drives.
