try to get more experience by practising these languages on multiple projects and learn how to write things in the shortest way

James yes they are nice to know, but as a front-end developer you will only need to know the basics to make your site beautiful, not the backend languages to store the data

Hi Edward Jackson Jr, The next step is to have an awesome portfolio. Front-end developers tend to work with clients who need to be able to see and feel their work. This is different for back-end developers. Back-end developers can pump up their hacker rank to practice for interviews by solving tricky problems/puzzles quickly and efficiently. The approaches are substantially different. I hope this helps! ☺

You will need to know some server-side languages, like PHP, SQL or nodejs.
