Career and Learning Suggestion Please!

Hi all, I would like to hear any suggestion for my further plan for my career in IT. I have a 6 years experiences in full-stack desktop software development for a Manufacturing company. It started from learning their business logic, design, develop until it implemented for their business needs using VB.Net, SQL Server and Crystal report. I've learned a lot by creating an OOP modules to SQL Store Procedures, Functions and Trigger usage and etc. Then i moved to web development by using Laravel + MySQL to develop a web application. But until now, i don't know how to measure my skill on it. So, i would like to hear any suggestion for me to expand my skills. I personally interested on how to design/implement a Technology to meet a business needs and improving current system by analyst. My question is, what kind of technology should i pursue or any other course that i should take? because i don't have any PM certification and i also don't know how the other Business/Software Analyst do? It will be very helpful if anyone can give me any suggestion. Thanks before.

There are so many options out there regarding technology - I don’t think I could recommend the right technology course for you to consider. However, I could suggests a couple ideas, that might help you to further your career: - check out IT/business companies in your local area. See what software they are using - next, identify the software that will give you the greatest return. For example - if there is a large demand for C# developers in your local area, then start learning C#. - while learning IT is great! Don’t forget to do some business studying too. For example, you should be familar with common terms like gross margin, sell in, sell out, product groups, discount codes, etc... Especially as you want to design/implement business solutions. - dealing with corporate clients can be very interesting at times (this is when your hair starts to goes grey 😁)! Consequently, you should look at doing some customer relationship studying as well. - depending on how far you want to take your career, be prepared to do a lot of studying. At the end of the day, just keep chipping away at building your knowledge and experience - and before you know it, opportunity will be knocking on your door. Good luck with your studying!

Thanks for your advice and suggestion @Jason, I'm really appreciate it. Currently, I'm learning on web development. Hahaha.. so, somehow i get confused on which way that i should pursuing on. I love to develop technology to a business, but i also like to do things in a flexible way and based on my experiences in Manufacturing company, we did a lot of programming to make their machine and business works. But it just for internal business use. So, its limited me to learn more about the other industrial businesses. Last words, thanks a lot for that, I like this learning platform, the way they teach and engaging other learners. Thanks sololearn, Cheers.
