document.write() and the <pre> tag.

i did some examples with <pre> tag and I have noticed that to break line you must use the break tag.

You don't "must", even if you can... unless you have changed <pre> tag style ( in particular the "white-space" property who's defaut behaviour is to print text "as his" ( no white spaces groupped, new lines character not ignored ). In the same time, all text formaters or <br> ( html new line ) are valid content and are interpreted as expected ^^
