Why do we need Java programmes ??

Essentially hard to answer without knowing the original problem and why the program is needed in the first place.

Because Java programming happens to be the easiest way to complete the task, for that specific issue? Because the programmer is proficient at Java? Because boss wanted a cross-platform app and Java does the job?

There are various reasons why you would want a program to be written using Java and not other programming languages.
