To run them? Just download Java and install it, it'll place the JRE on your machine so you can run Java programs.

If you mean an IDE to create code, then Eclipse, NetBeans, and IntelliJ are all excellent choices to pick from.

Fata1 Err0r there are quite a few alternatives to the jre. maybe he wants to know if any of them offer some advantage over the jre
