Is it the right choice?

I got hooked in doing programming because I love how games were made. So I'm going to ask if is it okay to pursue computer science because I wanted to make a game and explore more about how a site is made and much more? Thanks in advance

"Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted. He lived happily ever after." - Willy Wonka Why are you asking us (or anyone) if it's okay for YOU to pursue YOUR dreams? Listen. ALL of us here and offline are going to die eventually. You're here on this planet so that you can discover and enjoy the purpose that YOU create within your heart. If you're going to die eventually, and all of the rules & illusion didn't matter anyways, do you want to spend your life's time doing what others said you should be doing or do you want to do what you love, your purpose? It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, or what they believe for you, it only matters what you believe in and what you want. If you're not busy creating the world into what you want it to be for yourself, you'll be busy helping someone else create the world that they want for themselves. Unreal/C++: https://www.sololearn.com/Course/CPlusPlus/ www.UnrealEngine.com Unity3D/C#: https://www.sololearn.com/Course/CSharp/ www.Unity3D.com/learn ^Go through those two courses and then go to those engine's websites, download the engine, and go through all of their documentation/tutorials/lessons/etc.. By the time you're done, you'll have a good grasp on game development and programming. There is much more to learn, but by that point, you'll be pointed in the right direction and be able to stand on your own as you progress further. We don't get brick walls in life to keep us out, but to keep out those who don't want it badly enough. Decide what you want for your life and RUTHLESSLY go after your dream. Best of luck to you!

Who knows what is the right choice? But if you love doing it, it is a choice you can make if you decide to follow your passion. It is okay to pursue computer science. Make games and explore! :D
