Is it hard to be a freelancer?

Question

I would like to build web apps in my free time and make money being a programmer. I know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, bootstrap, but I still need to learn how to build a server and learn server side languages and building a database with SQL and additional frameworks. any help and advice would be appreciated. I would really like to find a community I can do projects with to get hands on experience, I really don't know where to look.

if you want web project then visit Github,codepen,codecamp
to be a freelancer I don't think it's hard, you only have to make time for coding
