if a software is not supported in linux, you can't use it.

but there are virtualization software like virtualbox (it's free- open source), for windows linux and os x. from in there you can use windows within linux.

i once installed virtualbox in windows but my pc is "very old", so i couldn't experiment with it. but i had the option of installing several linux distros. you should check it out, maybe you can install photoshop to windows within virtualbox from within linux. that would be cool. as i said i couldn't experiment with it, so i can't help you any further. but it surely is worth checking out.

Linux is a different OS. It will not support most .EXE files designed for WINDOWS operating systems. It will support cross-platform/open-source files. Extract the .tar files.

then i would suggest you install ubuntu as a second os next to windows, in a separate partition. this way you can use both os.

also, you can consider alternative software for linux. like gimp as an alternative to photoshop. not all the functions of ps but really good for open-source.

ok but someone told me that i cannot use programs like adobe or vm ware....etc on ubuntu because ubuntu dont have the appility to use them.....and if i can download a program it will be old version
