Why is there no course for learning Python 2? I am taking Prof. Charles Severance 's Programing for everybody

There is still many using 2. Any plans on adding this to the languages in the near future?

I disagree with alirezasamimi. Many companys right now still use Python 2 and are not planning a switch any time soon. I've heard of many devs that are not ready to make the switch, they feel that there is no need to for them, and some of them have authored some pretty popular PyPi packages. Python 2 is still alive and thriving. There are Python for Everyone and Python for Informatics books written for both 2 and 3, that are nearly identical. If you can learn one, the other should be no problem.

Thank you all. I thought I would give this app a try for fun. I like learning anything Python. I thought this should be my first prog. language. I am just a beginner.

Nick you are right, and Im saying the true thing too. Python 2 is popular but not as 3. Python 3 has more features and for learning python everyone advice the third version. Im not saying they should switch to Python 3 but for new users its better to learn Python 3.
