If one is to start programming as a novice, what programming language should i start with.

Games.. C# OR C++
Apps..... Java
General Utility... Python
Web... HTML

Of course these are opinions and it comes down to what you want to do

Honestly I think C++ demonstrates major functions In the way programming works - in which to apply to other languages. But it's all about the aim of the game.

I started with Scratch, though it is not really a language. I am currently learning Python, and I find it a good language for beginners, or whatever stage you are at. Though, as Forge Brain said, all languages have different things they are useful for. Pick one you are interested in and/or has the capabilities and use you are looking for. Good luck :)
