Can Java be mixed with C++ on a different platform?

There's no way to mix a java class with C++ syntax code in it or the other way around, but sure there are ways to have scripts written in different programming languages working on the same project, but an interface or a sort of intermediary is always placed in between, like the approach of one writing and xml file and the other taking values from that same xml file, or database table. Microsoft IDE Visual Studio lets you work with different programming languages in one project, and it compiles them together, and even lets you call a method on a script written in C# from a Visual Basic script, but that's not "mixing" code. Hope this helps Kanyiri.
