As a side note to the link mentioned of "scratch" by Schindlabua is it leads as an introduction to Python. I have used scratch..and scratch junior with 5 years and upwards..that said I wouldnt limit my use to one app or language..depends on the fit for the person learning with regard to their goals etc. Explore lots..settle with what clicks..then explore more.
