[Assignment] Is it possible to actually recreate a playable minecraft in javascript?

Is it possible to create a working 3D minecraft in java script?I have seen 3D java script games before and I wanna see someone making a playable minecraft! So I would like to see someone recreate minecraft in, CSS, HTML, and java script, I don't care if it is 2d I just want someone to make it!

That's gonna take whole lot of time and its gonna be very messy. Browsers aren't meant to run games. You are gonna have a lot of problems. The game is also gonna be very slow.
