Multi user environment master-slave database management studio using sql

i hav 4 years experience in bpo sector... there is a need of project to replace excel to some DBMS... i dont know where to start from??? can anyone suggest me the best way to do this??? just a hint worth to make a good deal!!!!

Excuse me, you asked for excel to some DBMS? but what is this some DBMS exactly? things may work differently amongst them, and some just don't accept Excel data without an extra mile, you might need to add more details of that, if you're looking for a decent answer, uncertainty push people back. Well, to begin with, you can start by doing some web search with keyword 'export/import excel data into ***' where *** refers to that DBMS of your choice. This is as far as one can go given the minimum information enclosed with your query. Best of luck,
