Learning multiple languages

Is it possible to learn many programming languages ( like 5 or more ) and still perform well at everything?

Maybe it is possible but I haven't yet encountered anyone with experience.

yes it is possible to learn over 5 languages, and it is also possible to perform well in every languages if you can remeber their syntax... it depends on the person...

I know some programmers, they are learned many languages and they suggest to learn atleast 4 programming so that your knowledge of programming language syntax become stronger But they also say that master in one language, learn other language so that you can read and understand their syntax.
