Does anyone have any tips for creating an app like yelp? I just dont know where to start and I only have java experience.

All help is greatly appriciated. Also the app is meant to function almost like the customer review but have nothing to do with recreating an exact replica of yelp<tm>

It depends on what platform you're looking at.

For android, much of the application is written in Java, with the AR library having some bits in the NDK's C. Layouts and some resources are done through XML, as is usual with most Android apps.

The iOS version is in Objective-C, as any other iOS app
