We already have, since the 90s for the server market, since the late 2000s for Desktop, and since the market dominance of Android in phones/tablets/IoT/drones/robotics.

Also, why did you tag your question with "Kali"? It's not a proper desktop (or server) distro, it's a toolkit for pentesting (and related) used by non-Linux-users and Linux users alike. Examples of real desktop distros: Arch, Debian, Fedora, PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu, and many more.
