Is it aproppiate to start all over?

am sure every beginner goes through this, as most pro's have gone through in the past. "Feeling like you're not progressing in your self tought programming, is it propper to start all over from page one???" or just focus on the parts you don't understand?.

When I started learning Java, I felt like I was the most stupid person in the world ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ”ซ I was desperate. One month I needed to read the first chapter. And nothing was clear to me. So I gave up ๐Ÿ˜ญ Then I found the literature in the primary language and listened to the advice that I should not stop at things that I do not understand much, but just keep going... And indeed, as I read more and more, I began to understand things from the beginning ๐Ÿ˜Š When I finished with the basics of Java, I started working on my project: a business finance program (which is close to me) in JavaFX GUI. I knew what I wanted to do and I found the tools (programs syntax, libraries, functions,...) I needed on the Internet. So I realized that all I knew by then was just the basis and a very small part of what Java has and can. At the same time, this knowledge made me frightened ๐Ÿ˜จ and excited ๐Ÿค— That's why I think it's best to design a project that will help you identify what you already know and discover new things. That's the best way to make progress ๐Ÿ‘

It is best to restart briefly, because a lot of concepts intersect and that helps in learning better.

I usually focus on the part I donโ€™t understand. But, I almost always do a small refresh on the language, before that part.
