What is pygame ? Is it good for creating games ?

Depends on the depth of the game you want to build. If it's a game as simple as the classic SNAKE. Pygame is all you need.
For serious game development, I will suggest Unity, moreover it is free for personal use as long as you don't make more than $100,000 from it. Nice catch right!
As far as I know, you need C# to code in unity. If this bottleneck is removed, I feel the community of unity developers will expand exponentially.
