Should I learn C++ or continue with Java for my career? [PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION]

Question

I love developing GUI applications with Java but I want to be in a game company in the future. They unfortunately ask for C++ and game development experience.

I don't like game development concepts, and I actually failed to make a game in different game engines.

How can I make it in the gaming industry with my Java experience, and I know 50% of C++.

How can I help them with my Java skills?
If there are game companies that needs Java as their primary option, please list the jobs in your answer.
