I wanna learn programming to make Android apps and Video Games. What languages should I start on?

I'm new to programming and heard C++ and Java were the way to go, I'd like more input on this and thank you for your time! :]

Apps - Java Games - C# These 2 languages are very similar and learning 1 will make the other a snap

I would learn C# because it is used in the game engine Unity and like @Lord Hill said, it makes learning Java easy.

hmm interesting, so learning c++ shouldn't be my priority then? would it be better if I started off with Java or C#?

I don't know C++... I can't say not to learn it, but if your goal is android apps and games, it isn't necessary and in my opinion, more difficult than other languages. Prioritize your language preference with your goal preference. you say you want to develop android apps and games. which would you like to do more of? if you lean more toward games, C# and Unity3d.. If you want to spend more time on general apps, Java.

I suggest you go to https://www.virtual-forms.com/pluralsight, they have an Artificial Intelligence that can predict at what point of learning you are and it will suggest you the courses to take. They also have professional mentors, to help you. There is also a free trial, and you can test it if this is for you. Hope this helps, Davor
