How to land a job as a developer

So you can code. What next? One of the toughest thing about being a software developer is making money from the skills you have hard earned. Software development is a field where the clients don't care too much about your certificates. It's the skill that matters. So it's important you put emphasis on your portfolio. Work on projects and make a decent portfolio. Be active on Github, stackoverflow, code guru and other code forums for serious developers. Thank you! Happy coding!

Hey Nick, i agree with your point of view, but it also depend on the employer, since there are those who appreciate the fact that you have experience on many projects, but in an interview the can only ask and not confirm by themselves, and this is why those employers feel more confident with a certified developer, which they can show up to their clients as prove of preparation as well as the confidence and input that only experience and skill brings. Certificates are a great selling point because they facilitate landing that developer job.
