Non-medical for computer science?

is it necessary to opt for non-medical to get a degree and become software Dev or I can opt commerce and become software dev

you can become a software dev if you just want to. if you want a degree on the field then of course you need to go non-medical, medical and IT are two entirely different fields. if you plan on developing software for medical appliance then I'd go for medical studies and pick programming on the side, programmers with medical interest and knowledge are always needed. also i think that some medical fields in universities get basic programming studies due to all the complex physical/chemical/mathematical equations. Might cross biochemical and medical fields here a bit but ahh well
