Word - for creating most documents Visio - for creating diagrams as well as Wireframes But for codecanyon I use to documenting my code in Markdown. User who buy my source code from codecanyon they rarely feedback in docs. Then I convert them in html and pdf.

I also use Markdown (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown) in conjunction with Pandoc (http://pandoc.org/) to convert to other formats. Word has this disadvantage that is not good for versioning (I mean versioning with git). Have you seen draw.io? I use it for diagrams and it works very well.

I just started using sharpDox for C# with the XML documentation comment function in Visual Studio 2015. I've also used NaturalDocs with VBScript & Classic ASP. Thanks
