Recommended IDE?

I just started out as a programmer and I was wondering what would be a great IDE to work in. Right now I'm using Visual Studios 2015 Community Edition but I'm not really all that satisfied, what would be better? Preferably something free would be nice.

Microsoft Visual Studio, hands down. Code::Blocks is smaller, more portable, but still a great IDE. Either will get the job done for a beginner.

I too have been using Code Blocks from the start. Haven't found any problem with it so far. So, definitely Code Blocks!
