Which programming language is the most useful for working with Game Engines?

I am looking forward to learn programming to create Indie-games. I was wondering which language works the best with Game Engines such as "Unreal" or "Game maker". Does Solo Learn offer this kind of matters?

Usually game engines are designed to work with one or two specific languages, so the question is more about which language you want to use for your project. Based on that decision you then can choose a game engine. Note that for Indie games, a 2D engine might be better than a 3D engine to get started with, especially if you work alone. Here in Sololearn already exists a huge amount of game programming related threads, so I'd recommend you to search for "game" or related tags with the search function in order to get more stuff.
